US ARMY
The United States Army is the main branch of the US Armed Forces, whos responsible for the land based military operations. It is the largest and oldest branch of the military whos roots guide down all the way to the continental army establish June 14th 1775. The "main role" of the Army is ""to fight and win our Nation’s wars by providing prompt, sustained land dominance across the full range of military operations and spectrum of conflict in support of combatant commanders." From past to current the US Army has served vital roles in almost all major wars or battles. The first ever continental army was crucial to the US Revolutionary War. The Army soon grew and became more organized and essential to Us armed forces, providing a front line to American Citizens in wars such as : War of 1812, World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Civil war, Battle of Gettysburgh, Battle of Little Big Horn, korean War, First Gulf War and the Global War on Terror. With such a great branch of military, great leaders were needed. Some famous and great leaders include George Washington, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, Dwight D. Eisenhower, George S. Patton and amny more.

The US Navy can be divided up into two major parts of history. The "old Navy", a small but well respected and gathered bunch of sailing ships and ironclads during the amrican civil war, and the "New Navy", the modernized navy that began in the 1880s and grew to be the largest and greates by the 1920s. The Navy itself was established october 13th 1775. The US Navy is the largest navy in the world serving a purpose to protect and defend the right of the United States and our allies to move freely on the oceans and to protect our country against any enemies. Important dates of the US Navy include the launch of USS Nautilus, The Naval Act of 1794, and the Attack on Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was the start of world war II, when japanese planes and subs were sent to bomb the military base. The navy struck back and was a huge advantage of this war. With a great navy comes great leaders, some famous leaders in this branch are Oliver Perry, and former NBA star David Robinson. Commission officer ranks include: Ensign, Lieutenant Junior, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Commander, Captain, Rear Admiral(lower half), Rear Admiral(Upper half), Vice Admiral, Admiral, Fleet Admiral, Admiral of the Navy

The Marine Corp was developed on November 10, 1775. The Marines are basically part of the Navy. It's a sub compartment of the US Navy. Their role is to defend naval bases and preform land operations to support naval campaigns, develop tactics, techniques, and equipment to help out other branches such as the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Marine Corp is also responsible for reporting to duties assigned by the President. The Marines have been involved in every american armed conflict. Some important events include World War I, World War II, and Operation Odyssey Dawn. Famous leaders Mike Coffman, and John Basilone.

Originally, the US Air Force was part of the Army branch. It ended up being named as it's own branch on September 18, 1947. It's the most recent branch to be formed. It is also the worlds largest and most technologically advanced air forces. Since the start t5he US AIrforces mission was to preserve the peace and security, provide for the defense of the United States, the Territories, Commonwealths, possessions, and any areas occupied by the United States, to support national policy and to overcome any nations responsible for disturbing the peace and security of the United States. Important events that have involved the Air Force are the Bombing of Libya, Invasion Of Panama, Bosnian War, and the War in Afghanistan. Many famous leaders from the Airforce include Benjamin O. Davis Jr, Buzz Aldrin, Esther Blake, and Paul W. Airey.
